Krishnagiri District
Krishnagiri district is bounded by Vellore and Thiruvannamalai districts in the East, Karnataka state in the west, State of Andhra Pradesh in the North Dharmapuri District in the south.
Krishnagiri district was previously a part of the Dharmapuri District with Krishnagiri as one of the Taluks till 2004, when it was bifurcated.
Its area is 5143 Sq. Kms. This district is elevated from 300m to 1400m above the mean sea level.
